we had a great experience at Elephant Backpacker. the location was amazing, and the old building had a lovely charm to it. the best part was how quiet it was, which made for a peaceful stay. the free breakfast was a nice touch, and overall, it was one of our favorite hostels so far. We got exactly what we paid for, and the basic amenities suited our needs perfectly.
Nothing negative to say. 😊.

For the price we paid, we definitely got great value at the hostel. The room was clean and the lockable lockers gave us peace of mind. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location was convenient too, with easy access to everything we needed.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved with a better selection of utensils and plates.

Great location near popular attractions and within walking distance of major sights. Clean and fresh bed sheets provided.- Free towels available for use.
Dirty and unkempt rooms, with unpleasant odors and lack of cleanliness. Inadequate security measures, with broken locks on doors and open entrance.

had a great stay at a cozy hostel near Hyde Park. Friendly staff, comfy beds, and a delicious breakfast made it even better than my last trip to sydney.
Wifi signal was weak.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent - comfortable bunks, adequate laundry facilities, and a TV room with both Foxtel and free-to-air channels. The location was perfect, right near major attractions and public transport, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Food for breakfast could be improved with more variety and options.

As an older traveler, I recently experienced a stay at a budget accommodation in a vibrant city. the location of the hostel was commendable, being close to attractions such as botanical gardens, making it convenient to explore the city. the staff members were friendly and welcoming, offering assistance whenever needed. the hostel provided a decent breakfast selection, including toast with spreads and cereals, allowing for a good start to the day. it is unfortunate that the cleanliness standards of the rooms and bathrooms were lacking, which decreased the overall comfort of the stay.

The location of this hostel is perfect, within walking distance of attractions, ferries, and trains. the beds are quite comfy, providing a good night's sleep. the hostel also has cleaners who hoover and wipe around everyday, ensuring a decent level of cleanliness.
The hostel lacks proper deep cleaning, with cleaners only doing general cleaning.

I recently stayed at Elephant Backpacker for two weeks and had a wonderful experience. As a solo traveler from England, I felt welcomed by the friendly and approachable staff and the warm social atmosphere of the guests from around the world. The breakfast was well-organized and always opened on time, providing a nice start to my day. The overall inviting atmosphere made me feel like part of a happy family, and I've even booked another two weeks in the same room. Truly a privilege to treasure, I give my overall experience a 10 out of 10.
Do recommend this hotel.

The convenient location of the hotel was a major plus, with plenty of attractions and amenities within walking distance. Additionally, the vibrant neighborhood added to the overall appeal of the area. Moreover, the view of the city from the hotel was breathtaking and provided a unique perspective of the surroundings.
The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. Both the rooms and the common areas were not properly maintained and could have been cleaner.

I gotta say, I got amazing value for my money at this cozy little hotel. The room was clean and comfy, and the location was perfect, just a short walk away from the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Plus, the staff were so kind and welcoming, it really made my stay enjoyable.
Breakfast delights, it would have been even better if there was a wider variety of options to choose from in the morning.
